Calls and contacts
Add contacts, then make direct and group calls that ring like a phone.
Contacts
Your contacts list is built for you: it contains every member of every workspace you belong to, plus your connections. A connection is anyone on Bhet you have linked with, wherever they work. Each contact shows a badge: the workspace name, or Connection.
To add someone, type their email address in the search box on the Contacts page. If they are on Bhet, choose Connect to send a request; they appear in your list once they accept. If they are not on Bhet yet, choose Invite by email and we email them an invitation, and the connection is made automatically when they sign up.
Pending requests, requests waiting for your answer and email invitations live in the Requests tab. You can accept, decline or cancel from there, and remove a connection at any time.
Direct calls
Tap the phone button next to a contact to call them. Call rings the person like a phone call: their devices ring, on mobile even when the app is in the background, with a full-screen ringing screen and Answer and Decline buttons. Calls run in a room, so you can use screen share and chat as usual.
Meet now
Meet now starts an instant meeting and sends the person a notification. It does not ring: they join when they see the notification or the message in your chat. Find it in the three-dot menu on a contact.
Group calls
Start a call from a group chat to ring everyone in it. People can join late from the chat.
On-call rooms
On-call rooms are rooms reserved for quick calls. See Rooms.
Missed calls
If you miss a call it is shown in your chat with that person. Check that notifications are allowed if calls do not ring (see Notifications).
