Roles and permissions
What owners, admins, hosts, co-hosts, presenters, moderators, editors, viewers and attendees can do.
Roles at a glance
| Role | What it can do |
|---|---|
| Owner / Admin | Full workspace control, billing, all live-room powers. |
| Host | Full media (camera, mic, screen share), recording, and running sessions and events. |
| Co-host | Same live-room media and control powers as a host. |
| Presenter | Present in sessions: screen share, slides, media playback. Cannot add or delete library content and has no room administration rights. |
| Moderator | Manage attendees, Q&A, polls and chat in a session. |
| Editor | Create and edit events, but not run them. |
| Viewer | Read-only access to the dashboard. |
| Attendee | Session-scoped role for guests and public joins; view-only by default. |
Who can use mic, camera and screen share
- Mic and camera: owner, admin, host and co-host always. Other roles only when the host enables Open floor.
- Screen share, recording, whiteboard, slides, media playback and breakouts: host-tier roles only. Open floor never extends these. Presenters may also screen share and present slides or media.
Guests
Guests join with a personal or public link and have the attendee role for that session. They need no account.
Change someone role
Admins change workspace roles in Settings, Team. In a live session, hosts can promote an attendee to presenter from the People panel.
